What an nice axe!! Exactly what I expected from MSA, modern beyond belief. The close up pics are worth a look folks.. the changer end, the way they attach pedal rods, adjustment capability.. WOW

There are a lot of nice guitars out there and choosing one over another is agonizing. Hopefully, viewing the details will help someone else make up their mind. I hope to get a few more hours playing in today. So far the guitar has a lot of nice qualities. It has great sustain, is very light, easy to adjust and change the tuning and I am adapting to it very quickly.

Al, my electronic scale shows the weight at 42 pounds without the cover on it.

Greg, I knew you would like the Legend, I love mine. Of course, I like my Millenium M3 too. These are great guitars. I got my M3 on a Friday, and played it with my praise band on Sunday morning. It needed just a little minor tweaking and thats all.

Either my weight is correct or perhaps a pound or two off. This guitar has 8 knee levers so that may add to the base weight a little in addition to the non-carbon fiber pedal board and body. I know the legs have almost no weight to them and you can't believe how light they are.

Maybe someone from MSA can comment about the weight of wood vs. fiber and the additional weight of 3 knee levers with extra rodding versus the standard 5 knees.

Donny, That's precisely why I ordered a Millennium instead of a legend. I like wood, but I wanted the lightest weight guitar I could get. BTW your entheusiasm for the guitar was one of the things that made me decide to get one.

I'm eagerly looking forward to getting mine in a couple of months.

My Legend is 5 lbs. heavier than my Millenium. Both guitars are set up identically.

Thanks, Greg, for the terrific pics. I appreciate the time you invested in taking all those beautiful shots. I've always wanted to see a new MSA up close...I've always been fond of the MSA line since I had one of the early Classic U12s back in 1970.

Appreciate those pictures. They'd make a great calendar for a gear head!

I like those brass bushings for the cross shafts. And I like the way the underside of the wood is finished clear so you can see the grain. I'll be spending more time later grooving on those mechanical details. Just beautiful!

Congratulations. Obviously a great axe.

Darvin, is your "Mill" an early model, or a late model? Earlier Millenniums (the ones with the 4-hole pullers) used titanium for pull rods, and since titanium is less that half the weight of stainless steel (the material they now use for the rods), the later models will probably be a few pounds heavier than the early ones. My own (early model) D10 8+7 checks out at 31 pounds on one of my scales, and 32 pounds on the other.
