Paul,
I believe the Carter site has a list of P/P serial numbers and their corresponding years of manufacture.

Mine is 6743 and was made in 1987. These were among the very last ones made before being discontinued, according to Bobby Seymore.

The listing on the Carter site is inaccurate.

I'm curious too. I have a PP S10, serial # 1165 S. That puts it at 1967 if the chart on the Carter site is right. If there's a better reference i'd like to hear about it.

Thanks,
- Andrew

If you look at the Carter S/N list, you will see that it is specific to double 10 (D10) guitars. An Emmons specialist like Mike Cass or several others would probably know best for single necks and 12 strings.

Paul,
Mine is #6750 and the pot code indicates 1983.
We'll have to meet up sometime, I'm in Mundelein almost everyday.

I asked the Emmons company directly, and they gave me an instant answer.
The also stated that the first owner had not filled in his/her registration card and returned it to them.
This was an S10 p/p.
