2000 Smoky Mtn Jamboree "WELDON MYRICK" Full Set
Many have asked if I had any video of one of the true legends of the steel guitar, Weldon Myrick.
Well I dug through and found this.
Weldon was the staff steel guitarist for the Grand Ole Opry for over 30 years.
We sure miss him

I used to watch the live portion of the Grand Ole Opry for one reason. You guessed it, to see Weldon Myrick. He was most always in the camera shot. I always thought Weldon was a killer player. Sadly, as many steel shows as I have been to I never saw him play live. RIP Weldon, I loved your music. I have always said his licks on Johnny Bush version of "Whiskey River" was the hottest I know of.
