Aprons on some new guitars

Post by Jim Bob Sedgwick »

I have noticed that some of the newer guitars have a 3/4 inch apron on the front of the guitar and a 5/8 inch apron on the back. I was just wondering why the widths are not the same. Anyone know?

Offhand, I'd say you need more strength in the front, that's where the pedals are!

Ditto: I agree with that Donnie, why make them anymore heavy than they already are!!
