Jackson Steel Guitars
What's happening with this guitar. I have not seen any pictures and cannot find a web site.
I did hear through the grapevine that it will be built in Gainesville, GA (right up the road from me if this is true)

it was a picture of a Steel with a phrase which caught many off guard,
---------------------------------------------
he Jackson Steel is capable of raising a string pitch one tone up and lower 1/2 tone down, returning to within one cent of the open note. No current manufacturer of pitch changers can make this claim.
-------------------------------------------
but without anyone ever seeing one or playing one..well....

I think that ad copy must have been written 20 years ago. Today, the practice of using compensator pulls to correct the over-return problem is quite widespread.
If the Jackson changer is doing this without compensator pulls, then it is revolutionary (and may actually defy the laws of physics!
).

In this months Singing News Magazine there is a full page written about "The Next Generation of Pedal Steel Guitars" referring to the new Jackson Steel. It gives quite a bit of ShoBud history as well as alot about David himself. It says that the first guitar will be for Joshua Epperson of The Singing Echoes.
