Dropping the A's?
Hey folks, I drop the B's to As with my VKL. They tune fine open. When I play the AB pedal and then drop the Bs they drop but are sharp. Is this common or is it my setup.thanks chris
[This message was edited by Chris Grotewohl on 14 December 2005 at 12:08 PM.]

[This message was edited by Chris Grotewohl on 14 December 2005 at 03:20 PM.]

Sounds like split tuning issues. Someone smarter than me will have to go in depth. My Fessy does the same thing because I took the splits off of mine. I didn't like having the tuners on the changer because they were always in the way.
Mine does the same thing as yours, but mine is very, very close. So, I live with it. Some musician I am! Ha!

It sounds like you need to run the tuning nut in more on the LKV connecting rod. I guess it would be lucky if it's that simple.
Interesting change.
Actually, I guess what type of guitar it is might make a difference there.
[This message was edited by Charlie McDonald on 14 December 2005 at 02:02 PM.]

Sounds like you need to add a split tuner to that change so you can tune the note with both pedal and knee engaged ! Do a search on here, or go to Carters website which has a good explanation on how to add this....if you aren't too keen on doing it yourself I'm sure you can find some who will add it for you.
