How often to polish?

Post by Terry Sneed »

Just wondering how often I should polish the chrome/aluminum on my steel? Because of no central heat in our mobile home, wouldn't condensation be a problem on my steel? I just don't want the chrome to start changing colors. About how many times a year should I polish my guitar? I've been usin semi-chrome. or is there something that would work better?

Mothers Aluminum Polish Is About The Best I Think You Can Polish As Often As You Want. But I Polish When I See A Lot Of Finger Prints On It. SONNY.

I use a Teflon based car polish on my entire guitar - fretboards, necks, mica covered body, etc. It lasts a long time and pratically eliminates fingerprints on the polished aluminum.

What I'm using now is "Las Vegas Show Car Polish" that I bought at a flea market. I've seen it sold at flea markets under various names.
