Custom built steel wanted
Looking for assistance in finding a steel guitar builder who would be interested in constructing a 12 string universal guitar for a disabled person. The main difference is that the floor pedals must be on the right side of the guitar,I have 6 pedals down there going left to right;the first 2 are E9TH PEDALS 1 and 2. At the present time I have 4 knee levers on the right; RKR raise my E's to F,RKL E's to D#,Horizontal 2nd string D# to D,seventh string F# to G,Outside RKL Fifth string B to A#. The other 4 floor pedals are the B6th pedals; going right to left they are Pedals D C B F, I like those last two next to each other. On the left knee LKR is my spring loaded volume pedal.
If interested please e-mail me.

GFI - Gene can do it and has done it before.

Scroll down the page a bit and look at some custom steels he has built. I'm sure he could design something to suit your particular needs.

Thank's Per for the reply. I will call Duane Mars. I should have mentioned that I do have 2 steel guitars; a Marlen that Len Stadler built for me in 1979, and a Dekley built by Jim Gurley , modified in 1981. The Marlen has the E9th setup,And the Dekley has the universal. They both play just fine; The Dekley weighs in at 65 pounds in the case, the marlen 50. What I am looking for is a universal steel that does'nt weigh more than 50 pounds carrying weight in the case along with rods, legs and rack. Thanks again for the responses.

Ronald,
I'm going on a limb here, but of all the replies you received only one of them actually works with and or for the company, and that is Kyle.
I know Kyle, he is a wonderful guy and a straight shooter. Kyle and the guys at MSA are fantastic. Don't miss this opportunity.
