Hi fellow steel players, just to introduce myself,I'm Dave & I live in the UK and I'm a steel nut. I just envy all you guys out there in the USA who can rub shoulders with all these great steel guitarists. I build my own brand of PSG the Sheffield Steel when I work out how to put a photo on the forum I'll do it, but for now if any one is intrested, go to the British Steelies Society and click on pictures & find the Sheffield. Best wishes to all and what an informative & fantastic forum. Dave

Dave.. we don't rub shoulders with the great steel players.. We wouldn't want them to catch something. Hey thats pretty interesting, You are a manufacturer??.. I'd like to learn more about your steels. Are they made on a custom order basis ? do you distribute worlwide etc??.. I can't afford one, but a lot of guys here are always on the lookout for something out of the ordinary.. I wish you LOTS of success. WELCOME to the SGF!!! bob

Thanks guys for your quick welcoming reply, thank you for your compliment David, and the answer to your question Bob is as of yet I have not shipped outside of the UK and yes they are custom hand built to order using only the finest metarials and machining principles that I know of (being an engineer for over 30 years and studying steels for 25 years).I have vertually eliminated the DREADED CABINET DROP! only 0-2 cents movement on a tuning meter. As I said if you would like to see some photo's click on to the British Steelies Society web site. Dave.

Dave,

Welcome! Your guitars look like a high-quality product indeed. The colors are very rich! If you'll send me one I'll give a real detailed and thorough review for all the other members. Image

Hi Dave, great to see and hear you play again last week, and thanks for letting me play you steel,it is a beautifull guitar, you sure are a clever guy,and a good player also, and i think anyone who can play a steel would find your steel a pleasure to play.

Not sure if i told you but i am playing at the club tomorrow {Tues}if you fancy coming along and hear this old man play again,i aint much good, but i sure got guts,HA HA,and it would be great to see you again.
