The guys at Marrs... always helpful!!

Post by Bob Carlucci »

Geez, those guys are SO courteous, always taking time to answer my stupid emails, even though they are very busy, and I have never bought a thing from them. I asked a question voicing concern about a ProI I am buying, because it has a Super Pro changer, and I heard Super Pros had some problems with tone...
Jeff replied quickly,in the middle of a busy work day, calming my fears explaining the Super Pro changer was one of the best Sho Bud ever made, and that it would not adversely affect the tone of the guitar.. He explained how it was thin wood in certain areas of the Super Pro body that caused what some players percieved as tonal deficit...
I SO appreciate guys like that, taking thier valuable time, and giving it so freely to help a guy they don't know from Adam. ... It is certainly well appreciated, and I wanted to thank them publicly.. If my Pro I needs even something as miniscule as a nylon nut, I would get it nowhere else..... bob
[This message was edited by Bob Carlucci on 25 March 2005 at 12:14 PM.]

thanks Hook.. I have owned Sho Buds before .. A Pro III and a mid 60's S 10 Professional[pre Pro I].. I DON'T know much about the SuperPro,but I have heard guys complaining about thier tone,.. I was just worried the Super Pro changer was a dog for some reasoin, and was going to kill the sound of this VERY nice Pro I... now I can't wait to get my meat hooks on it!!! ... bob

Bob,
You are SOOOOO right about Duane & Jeff. I've "talked" with Jeff various times by email, and he's one of the most courteous, nice and informative people you'll ever meet. Plus, he's not too shabby a steel player either! Image

I plan to change a couple of knee levers around on the Pro II that I play, and while I could do it myself, I plan on taking it to Jeff to do it, because there's nothing better than having an expert do the work!

I think Duane and Jeff are the best things to happen to Sho~Buds in a long time.
