Help Please!! Maverick

Post by Jerry Roller »

A lady bought a Maverick on eBay and the pull rods were either disconnected or came loose in shipment. I got the raise rods figured out but I need to know how the "E" lowering lever hooks up. I know it is spring loaded but can't figure how to accurately hold the 4th string in tune on "E" and release it to "Eb" and pull to the stop for F#. Please someone describe here or in an email how it hooks up and works. I have to have it ready tomorrow morning.

The standard Maverick tuning doesn't lower the 4th string. It wasn't designed to do that. The lever lowers strings 2 and 8.

b0b, thank you very much. That will make it simple. We can close it now. The little Maverick is now ready to put in the case and deliver. What a great place, this Forum.
