Pedal 4
My Kline U12 pedal 4 raises my 10 & 6 srings (8 & 4 if it was a 10string C6th) from G sharp to A sharp ( A to B if it was a 10 string C6) Does anyone have any tips on how to use it ?

Use it with the E to D# lever to give you a BMaj7 chord. It's a standard C6 change although many have abandoned it in more recent times. Emmons still uses that change, last time I saw his setup. On C6 it's A to B.

One of the best examples of the use of pedal 4 is on Dick Meis' website www.pedalsteelguitar.net. His wife, Lois, has a CD which has mp3 samples that you can download and listen to. "Crazy" is the best example of the way Dick uses the pedal 4 change. He also has a solo version of "Crazy" on his CD, "Some Good Stuff" which uses the change throughout.
The old Emmons C6th 52 week course by Doug Jernigan also utilized the pedal 4 change. Used correctly, and it really adds a lot of emotion to the song. Of course, anything Doug Jernigan does is GREAT!!
