We played a show several months ago in New Mexico and I had the pleasure of meeting Matthew and having him sit in with the band. Tracy sang Highway 40 Blues and Don't Take Her and Matthew performed his intro and parts like a pro. He's 18 years old and he shows allot of promise. At that time he expressed that he liked my MSA Guitar and I'm happy to say that it will be on its way to him.
The folks who run the Steel Guitar Shows out west should encourage his participation; he and his family are nice people and he is self-taught to this point. When you hear him you will be pleasantly surprised that a young man with his talent is playing pedal steel. I hope our pedal steel community welcomes and supports him.
Matthew, you should post some videos from the show or others so folks can get to know you. And as I told you before, if you need anything just holler at me.
Best wishes to you Matthew.
