Hex nut for pedal rod end connector, specs?

Post by Nicholas Dedring »

Need to get a new nut to tighten up the pedal rod connector on my Legrande.

Emmons' website lists it as an 8-32 hex nut... what I'm trying to figure out is what, if any, variation there will be in threadings if I go to pick up nuts at a hardware store? Should I bring the piece with me (kind of a hassle) or are the threading specs pretty uniform???

Any help much appreciated. The nut is just kind of stripped out and not gripping, so the hex rod end is always loose.

To help you out 8/32 is all you need to tell them. It stands for size 8 screw with 32 threads per inch.
