Well that proves it! They are truly qualified to handle business on parts for your old guitar. Gee I wonder how they'd do on a 4500 dollar purchase?

If I was in the market for another Emmons I wouldn't hesitate to call Ron.

Hmmmm! Maybe it's because I'm quite new to this forum. Maybe I'm just a bit dense. Anyway I fail to see what satisfaction a couple of people in this tread could possibly have from letting the rest of us know that they couldn't care less if the Lashleys screws a fellow forumite.

It's my impression that there a plenty of good used Emmons' out there (and to my limited knowledge a lot of just as good brands as well).

Klaus - Those are great looking guitars you built. I love the 5-string bass (U2). It's beautiful.

Wow!! Big deal, Are they now in the spares business? What's the point of sending out spares. Why do they not use your spares to complete Cor's guitar which he ordered months ago.

Also, you forgot to tell us that you had a NICE talk with them, and got Nice spares. You should be ashamed at bragging. Those spares you got rightly belong in Cor's guitar!!!!! tbh

Hey Lee!
Thanks a lot! This one was some kind of good materials/luckyshot/zen-like project which worked out extremely well. I play it a lot and I'm quite proud of it.

There are a couple of audio-clips on my website featuring that bass. "Berlin" (The studio mix version in RealAudio), "The Wait" as well. There's a live recorded bass-solo (for what it's worth) played on that one as well. Take a listen Image

Erv,
With all the Emmons parts you've been ordering lately, are you:

a) About to open an Emmons Parts Museum;
b) Building one heck of a Franken-emmons guitar;
c) Secretly building Cor's guitar for him in your basement.

(No flame, man; throw another lutefisk on the barbie!) Image

Randy,
I'm maybe more of a mechanic than a musician but I like to work on pedal steels. I have a whole box full of Sho~Bud parts and when I need Emmons parts, I just send Ron a fax and he gets them right out to me. I added a Franklin pedal to my Emmons Loafer and 3 more knee levers to my D-10 for the C6th neck. I am presently working on a couple of Williams guitars and am using their 1/2 stop kits on them.
We're just getting into the lutefisk season up here on the tundra and the barbies have pretty much been put away for the season. Image
Take care,
Erv

CrowBear,
Your message just sneaked in. With all these requests for lutefish, I'll have to chop a hole in the ice and see if I can get the boat in the water and do some trolling! I expect no less from any steel guitar vendor. I'm closing this topic as it appears to be flame bait.
