Get yourself a tube of Semi-Chrome and some rags and sit down and go to work.
This does about as good a job as anything without removing and putting on a buffung wheel.Do a google search for Caswell Inc. They wrote the book on polishing and sell everything you would need.

There is no substitute for a professional metal polisher unless you have the right equipment. Look up"Metal Polishing" in the phone book. For about twenty dollars you can get it done properly and the pieces come out looking brand new. Be forwarned that the end plates on older Sho-Buds often contained alot of pitting which will never polish out.
[This message was edited by Kevin Hatton on 21 October 2004 at 10:55 PM.]
