Damir,

Sure would like to hear a sound clip. And you ought to put your name on the front apron of that Promat... that would look pretty cool.

Damir, thats a righteous rig. Its got to get a soulful sound. For me its my ZB-D-10 through the Webb 614-E. I don't think I'll ever change now.

thanks a lot to all of you guys.I never had a chanse to play ZB but I heard it,it does sound great. At the one point I was looking for a ZB but couldn`t find one in a nice shape. As far as ZUM goes, there is not much new to say, they are top of the line modern guitars and I wouldn`t have a problem owning one,but my financial situation doesn`t alowe me to own 20 guitars (not sure that even that would be enough).I play Promat because it is made by a very good friend of mine plus it is a push pull and I think the biggest reason is that I wanted one from the first day I played my first Promat in 1988 but never could afford one until now.And that Webb with all those knobs, seems like you can get any possible tone you want out of it (if you know wich way to turn them.. Image )Pics will be here later on today,so stop by and check out who showed up down town.

and yeah Gary, everything is black,I didn`t even realized that until you said it.Cool ha.It`s funny you said that because yesterday when I was pickin` up the Webb from Steel Guitar Nashville,Bobbe said "and now I will never find another black Webb, they are all blue and red"...

DD sorry about my late response, looking forward to meeting you, make sure you let me know when you get to nashville...Db

back from Roberts...

Image
Mike Sweeney pickin`..Mike had a tough time reaching knee levers on my guitar,I appologize for that. That is the main reason I almost never sit in behind someone elses steel,I can`t fit my legs under it.But even so Mike made that thing sound great.I loooved his C6 touch and tone he can get out of that Promat.Promat is also a brand new and because of that still little stif and maybe not loose enough but it will get there with time.

Image
demending gig, after not playing for a few years this gig was accoustic gig where only steel was an electric instrument.Fiddle, mandolin, accoustic guitar and steel. No drums and no bass.If I would guess,I would say I lost about 60% of my speed and licks I used to know.

Image
Mike,Me and Dean Parks who is a great guy and in town doing guitar work on the new Vince Gill and Amy Grant album.Dean flew from CA for the job.Welcome to Nashville Dean and it was a pleasure meeting you.
So,that would be it.I don`t know about the rest but I had fun.Little on frustrated site because of my playing but nothing I can do about it.

Db

btw. I do play again next Sunday morning,so everyone is welcome...
[This message was edited by Damir Besic on 29 August 2004 at 05:27 PM.]

That's a nice sounding guitar Damir. Thanks for letting me try it out. It was also a real pleasure meeting and talking with Dean. I got choked on a french fry though and had to step away for a minute though but everything is o.k.
