The best thing is to call charlie....
502-957-1059 he is swamped & don't have a
site...he will be happy to answer any of ypur questions he will invite you down. he has a small stage & every amp , so you can try one like yours , or bring your own....
I have had Derby's for years ...if I can help

There is no Derby site as state above.. Simply put, the late & great Rusty Hurse tried to get a site going but Uncle Charlie decided not. This was last year. All of the above posts by David & Gary are to the letter true.

Ditto! Call, or better yet, go visit Charlie in Brooks, KY. Great person and great steel. Don't sell yourself short. Make the effort to play one of the Derby's. You'll love it! I have been 100% satisfied with mine I picked up from Charlie in February, '04. Ohio shouldn't be that far of a drive. Brooks is just south of Louisville.

Adding fuel to the fire:
For grins I looked it up & you're near Columbus, so yeah, hop on I-71, go straight to L'ville, get on I-65 south to the Brooks Rd. exit & they'll steer you in from there. He's VERY easy to find.
For me, that's about as good of an exit as you can get; Derby's on the west side of 65, Cracker Barrell's on the east. Not heaven, but VERY close.
Plus, there are a number of motels at that exit from which to choose.

Thanks to all who replied. Maybe Gary Preston,and I can go down to Ky. to the Derby Co.,and check'm out. There's a fellow named Wayne Vickers who lives around Vanceburg Ky. who owns and plays a Derby with his family group called Solid Ground.
I looked at his,and it looks like a well built machine. Nice thick changer fingers.
