As new inductees into the CMHOF. Now, let's get Paycheck, Wynn Stewart and Stonewall inducted as well.
It's way past time.

I know I'm getting old when I can remember CMHOF inductees first recordings and was playing music before anyone had even heard of these guys!.... Oh well, I'll have to agree with you on Wynn Stewart and ol' Stonewall. Also, how 'bout the Wilburn Brothers?.....JH in Va.

P.S... Are the Maddox Bros. & Rose in the HOF? If not they should be........
Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!!

Jerry, It's amazing how maybe we have about 11% on this forum who believe in Traditional Country Music and will only stand up for it if it's about them. The History of it don't mean nothing but talking about the Steel Guitar in it's what it is. The folks like I who has support this instrument and if Musicians who play it seem to get cup down in so many ways of I don't know why. Maybe it because I don't know anybody. If you don't pay all the systems that goes with get you in the Country Music Hall Of Fame or any other organizations who runs this Music Industry Business Game and no matter how many dues you have paid,it's their Power House rights to do what they see fit to do.I know Randy Travis very well and I'm proud and glad for him. Remember Keith Whitley was here before (Keith) him. It's all in them Record Companies who pay for most Honors in their names. Just like Award Shows Showcase Telecast.Sign that bottom line you won't revile. ;-)

LJ, if I understand what you're saying (!), you sound like a lot of other folks who seem to resent the "game" of the music business, and the fact that notoriety just passes them by… if you focus on the sometimes talentless stardom the "business" end of the music business fosters, foists, and foments… you'll just get an ulcer.

We as musicians really need to playing because we have to, because there's no other outlet for our heart and desire, and we have to accept the hand we get dealt as far as recognition or monetary reward. Of course you can shoot for the bucks, and chase your tail trying to figure out how to be the flavor of the week, but honestly, creative satisfaction doesn't lie that way.

I wish you the best, and especially that you find solace and satisfaction in your own music, and don't get caught up in measuring "success" against some arbitrary conglomerate-driven Top 40 list. I mean top 20. I mean top 10...

Mark Van Allen, with respect to re-piping my brain about this Music Business corruption mess that is not done by me nor my (Politics)game. Success is only a word. Doing something about it is action. I'm just a every day common Musician like you only I'm engineering a position to weld the minds of others, let's fit it together in each others jurisdiction. All I get( Uncle Leo J Eiffert Jr) is cut down for standing up for others who think I have a ego and believe me, if you knew me or know me,I don't. So,if you could help TRUMP it in I wouldn't have to be fighting everybody's unhappiness with them self. To most, History of each others neighborhood don't mean much, but,to me it means a lot to me by the Brothers & Sisters Musicians who have passed on that I respect and Honor them for what they did, but, not by just who they were. ;-)

There are still John Hammond type industry folks out there, taking risks and laying down big bucks and their reputation on talented, not always the most beautiful looking musicians because they believe in them and they believe real art and commercial music can be synonymous. Maybe we should honor those people more often, rather than lumping all industry people together and badmouthing them all the time.
