Sitar Bar. Still available?

Post by Gerald Menke »

Does anyone know where I could get one of the sitar bars like Bruce Kaphan and Lloyd Green used on their solo records? I never see them for sale in "Buy and Sell" or on the "Accessories" lists of any vendor.

Thanks for reading my post.

Jon- you might have missed it in the manual, but you are supposed to hold the steel on Top of the sitar bar and slide the steel to the desired fret...

Gerald,

Al Brisco in Canada lists it on his website:

Dunlop Stainless Steel Bar No. 922, 1" Diam. x 3 1/4" Sitar Bar.

Scotty's has it, too.

I could not find it on Jim Dunlop's website, though, so maybe it is no longer produced.

I tried a few of them out and my favorite one was made by Paul Franklin Sr.
I would call Oleda up and see if she has any around.
