Question about Pro Fex II Battery

I took the cover off my Pro-Fex II today and it looks like brand new.It is greem in color and this is the numbers I can see on it.Batt. name is VARTA 3.6V 60 MAH 3/V60R
Ni Cd. Can someone tell me if it has been changed. It has a Date inside from Peavy that it was built in 1/94.Now the best part of this is what I bought it for about 3 years ago. I was told that the Guitar Center in North Attelboro Massachucetts had it and wanted $100.00 for it. I called them and asked if they still had it. They said they did and I asked what they wanted for it. He came back after checking to see if it was there and he said yes it is here and you can buy it for $79.95.I flew 85 miles an hour up there to get it.It was 30 miles up there and I made it in 20 min.It has never gave me a problem yet knock on wood.
