Facebook problem
On my laptop, which is my main computer, I can not type in any comments. I can't even get the cursor in the comment box. I can hold my left mouse button down and swipe across the placeholder text and it highlights it, but I can't type over it. Everything else on FB works fine.
And, it's not the computer or keyboard. I just used these to type this message.
Any ideas? I'm sure there is no help from FB.

If, like me, you use the NoScript add-on, all scripting for all facebook.com and fbook domains. The textarea might be scripting=enabled sensitive.

Also especially delete all "cookies" Old cookies often wreak havoc on scripted websites like Facebook.John Booth wrote:Clean out your temp files - Just use the windows Disc Cleanup

I'm not sure what that all means, but I have made no changes to anything over the last month at least. I have to make a correction. It only allows me to click the home button and see posts. I can't get into the settings, I can't click the little down arrow in a post to allow me to turn off notifications, I can see the notifications and click and go to the post. But that's it.Wiz Feinberg wrote:If, like me, you use the NoScript add-on, all scripting for all facebook.com and fbook domains. The textarea might be scripting=enabled sensitive.
I did receive a notification from my Trend anti-virus say it detected a security risk in FB. But when I click on the button to see the problem, I just get a message saying it can't connect to the internet, which is not the problem, because FB does update with new posts (verified by looking at FB on my desktop and iPad.
I am going to clear my history, cookies, cache etc right now. I don't think that is the problem as I do this weekly now. But it did just crop up a few days ago.

Richard;
I apologize for the typos that made my reply incomprehensible. But, from your following reply, it is obvious that you are not using Firefox, hence, also not the Firefox NoScript add-on.
