...first because C6 is so much fun I would have never learned E9 if I started on C6. I'm halfway through Jeff Newman's C6 course. Jeff takes all the mystery out of C6 and has you playing immediately. C6 is seductive. Blues and swing music rules! I can't stop playing it. I gotta get some Christmas shopping done somehow!!
Excuse me, gotta go back to my music room and run through some 3-6-2-5 progressions!
I loved Jerry Byrd.....before I loved Jeff Newman. Wasn't I the lucky one? Today I appreciate each of them & what they taught me , directly or otherwise. I have a S10 C6th
steel & dearly miss the "other neck". Learn them both & have fun with both! (but learn them!!!) Be a musician (as was said here) who choses to love playing pedal steel! the greatest instrument in the world. (regardless
of what some of the "legitimate musicians" may think!)
