I have Gimp 2.8. I want to do my own cd graphic design. I have my duplicators templates. Can someone give me a 10 step plan to get started?

Are you going to print on CD-R's? or just making designs for someone else?

Check the requirements of Discmakers on what they require for art work, if the customer supplies their own.

I do my own CD's and Jewel Case labels, but I use "Discus". I suppose Discus cold also be used just design CD labels and Jewel Case inserts.

Hi Jack. I have an outside duplicator, I just want to prepare the graphics to their templates, submitting camera ready artwork. Will save me about $100 per project. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!

If you haven't already done so, if you open up the Gimp and look at the Menu Bar, the last item will be Help. Click there for the User Manual. You will also find links for some online documentation and other resources such as Tutorials at various levels like these:

As a really wild guess, I guess that you merely need to open up the Gimp, use it to open up one of your templates and proceed from there.

HTH. Good luck and have fun!
