Fender Steel King , Need help

Post by Kenneth Cartright »

I just bought a Fender Steel King. The amp sounds great, but the problem I have is a loud pop when I turn it off. Is this normal for this amp, or is something wrong that needs to be fixed. Any help will be appreciated, Thanks..Ken

Mine did it, that is part of the reason I sold it. It will be interesting what others have to say.

Mine makes a low frequency thump when I turn it off. It's done that since I bought it, new, many years ago. Still going strong.

Mine did it as well, turn the master gain all the way off before you turn it off.

This is just a characteristic of this amp, so much power I guess. I turn the gain down too, and this eliminates the pop.
