My "new" ZB Custom

Post by Scott Hiestand »

I am now a confirmed ZB-eliever!. The guitar arrived last week and I am tickled with it. Gorgeous finish, sounds like a million bucks (even with me playing it!), rock solid. And lady luck must be smiling on me for once - a change I thought I would need to add (1st string raise 1/2) turned out to be all hooked up but just out of adjustment....a quick assesment of the situation and an email to Billy Knowles (thanks again Billy for your response, and for rebuilding this beauty once upon a time) and she was up and running.

The pick-ups are dead quiet, too, no hum. As far as pedals and knees, plays about like a PP, but that's fine with me as I like a little "feedback".

This thing sings, even way up high....all in all a great guitar. Gotta love the fretboard and metal "fishtails" too. I may need to investigate a second as a ZBAck-up....(uh-oh, better not tell my wife....yet)....

Hello Scott, you sure contacted a ZB expert when you emailed Billy Knowles. The first time I entered his shop, I notices that he never reached for a tape measure but used a micrometer. He's a real craftsman. Good Luck with the new ZB.

Hey Scott - You did it eh??

This will be "your" keeper for ever; you can always buy another steel - anytime, but a Zee Bee?? Keep a lookout for a second Z.B.

All the best.
