Google Chrome 'Privacy Error'

Post by Charlie McDonald »

Clicking a Youtube link on the forum brings up the following.
Is anyone else seeing this or familiar with it?
For some reason, the forum (and email) is the extent of things for the moment. Did scans, malware, etc.

Charlie... Check out this link. It discusses that problem
I also saw something about trying a different browser if you get these errors.

We, like the majority of the world's websites, do not currently use https (aka: SSL; secure sockets layer) on the forum discussion pages.

Login pages and shopping carts must have https encryption to protect user submissions from man in the middle sniffers in coffee shops with free wifi, or people living next door to script kiddies.

The ISP was doing something in the neighborhood.
The funny thing is, I could always find the forum.

Thanks, Richard and Wiz; I took a tour of things and learned a little.

The last few times I clicked on the Chrome toolbar to launch chrome I got that same screen. The trick is they have an icon marked "click here to return to safety" or some such bs...which I'm sure launches some malware.
But where the hell did this devil come from?
(Oh that's a redundant question isn't it)
