Pickup choice for an MCI

Post by Nicholas Dedring »

I'm not sure I'm happy with the George L 10-1's that I have. It's in an MCI Waco (wood neck), and I've tried to fiddle with the amp to get more towards the sound I'm looking for. Any recommendations from folks out there? Single coils? Lawrence's? I'm hoping for something that is nice and warm without being sort of muddy... if that's possible. Any advice much appreciated.

Talk to Jerry Wallace. His pickups are the best, and reasonably priced!

Anyone have a suggestion on what winding in (k)ohms to look for? I'm a little bit pickup stupid. This is pretty much just for the e9, the other neck is still the undiscovered country...
