Smallest (thinnest) wound string for electric?

Post by J D Sauser »

I am looking for the thinnest possible <u>wound</u> string (I prefer nickel over stainless, but anyway...) for electric instuments (steel guitar incl.).

I have seen .018w but I seem to remember .016w (?).

Anybody know where?

Thanks! ... J-D.

J-D----Brooklyn is pretty much the same as always. Cows grazing in the meadows, trout lazily rising to my caddis flies, yeah, just another day in Flatbush paradise.

I can't honestly say I'm playing the dobro much--in fact when I get the urge, Matchbro is what I whip out on the stand. But I surely have no regrets--I'm glad I've got it and for the times when I need to reconnect with some acoustic roots, it's there for me.
