A pretty song by the Seldom Scene

Post by Duncan Hodge »

I just found this. It has some very beautiful playing by Mike Auldridge. I saw Mike play steel a number of times at the Birchmere with the Seldom Scene... I do miss them all.

Thanks. Great song. Beautiful pplaying by Mike, but then, as far as I'm concerned, every note he ever played was beautiful. He could do no wrong...such a nice guy.

Don't know if I'd call this a "pretty" song :whoa: The story told is of modern tragedy.

That's Mike singing the baritone part in the trio, John Starling on lead vocal/guitar and John Duffey on tenor/mandolin harmony.

Tome Gray on bass.

A legendary bluegrass vocal trio and band!

I miss Mike!

Howard, you are correct about the lyrics to "Out Among the Stars", but I still find the music pretty, even beautiful.
