This weekend is the San Marcos Texas Natural Swing Festival. What's left of the Texas Playboys Band is always there, usually Herbster is there playing for someone,,,,maybe Billy Mata accompanying Roger Edgington,,,,years past have also had Carolyn Martin w/Chris Scruggs,,,,not sure what this years line up is,,,this is all I could find on it

From the looks of it, looks like it will be bigger and better than ever!!!! If you like Western Swing, this will be the place to be this weekend!!

Cow Bop is one real good reason to make it... Elana James is another. I'll try to take some video.
Too much junk to list... always getting more.

I'm heading down to San Marcos this afternoon, and staying the weekend. I'm playing on Saturday at noon with the Tony Harrison Band, then hanging around to hear Johnny Cox with Jason Roberts' band, Rose Sinclair with Jerry Lightsey's band, Denny Mathes with the Super Swing Revue, and who knows what all else might show up.

Then on Sunday, on my way back to Spicewood, I'm spending the afternoon at the 290 West Bar and Grill enjoying the monstrous Steve Palousek's performance at the Austin Steel Guitar Co-op's meeting. :!: :D

Another boring Texas weekend... (sigh).
My rig: Infinity and Telonics.

Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg?
