Adobe issues emergency patch for Flash Player 0-day attacks

Post by Wiz Feinberg »

April 28, 2014

Adobe has just released an out-of-band security update for Flash Player, for all supported operating systems. This patch blocks the "0-day" exploit attack vector currently targeting Internet Explorer browsers. Please update your Flash Player for Firefox, Opera, Safari (plug-in versions)and Internet Explorer (ActiveX version). Google Chrome itself has just been updated to include the new Flash component.

Your mobile browsers should auto-update today.

Note: Even Linux PCs need to be updated to close this hole. Since Ubuntu stopped supporting Flash on their own, you'll need to download it from Adobe, via the Ubuntu Software installer.

Be alert on the Adobe page. If you don't uncheck the McAfee box, McAfee will infest your PC.
