It's a very early Carvin, possibly from the Kiesel era. They changed to a more Fender-like body shape by '54, so this is older than that.

WOW Noah!!! You're dead right....definitely a Carvin/Kiesel & definitely Pre-54. I found a similar fretboard on a 1952 Carvin.
Thanks for your help in solving the mystery.
I picked this up the other day...seller thought Supro and I thought that it kind of looked Carvin-ish.
If anyone else has any info, it would be much appreciated
Thanks again,
Casey

The Carvin History Museum should have more information on your guitar.

Brad,
It is apparently a little too early for the page to be much help. I think their first catalog they show is from 1954.
However, they do show pics of a few similar single-necks that are the same shape as mine & feature the same fretboard design.
I love looking at the the Carvin museum page...it always makes me drool
I thought I got a pretty good deal when I thought that it was an old Supro...turns out it is an even better deal since it is an old Carvin!!! Not too shabby
