question “network preference “ on a Mini Mac

Post by Bob Hickish »

I have a question /or problem/ with “network preference “ on a Mini Mac OS 10.6.8
wifi to apple airport extreme

What is happening is the Network Preference will un lock on shutdown and start up.
I have changed the computer password & the airport extreme thinking some one has planted a back door . no joy with that .

Has anyone encountered this ? I’m thinking hack job

I just tested it. Mine does the same. Unlocks on reboot.

My preference is an Ethernet connection. Same OS version as yours.

Someone at Apple is saying "That's not a bug - it's a feature!". ;-)
