BIAB 2013 requirements for Windows.

System Requirements

Windows 2000 / NT / XP / Vista / 7 / 8 (32 or 64-bit)
Minimum 512 MB RAM
Hard Disk space: Minimum 800 MB for the main Band-in-a-Box and RealBand programs. More space is required for RealTracks, depending on which package you buy...
RealTracks & RealDrums: ~100-400 MB per set
Pro RealCombos: ~6 GB
MegaPAK RealCombos: ~12 GB
Full UltraPlusPAK/EverythingPAK when installed to internal hard drive: ~70 GB
(another ~65GB is required for the installation files when downloading the UltraPlusPAK or EverythingPAK)
Hard Drive versions of the EverythingPAK or UltraPlusPAK do not require any hard disk space when run directly from the external hard drive they are shipped on.
DVD drive for shipped versions of the MegaPAK or Pro version.
Sound card or MIDI module
Carter D10 8p/7k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup, Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112, Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open G slide
and regular G tuning guitar) .
Playing for 55 years and still counting.

Thanks Richard. Would you advise that 4 gigs of ram in a Windows laptop will run the "Everything PAK?"

I would think so, but you may want to contact either PG Music or Jim Baron to make sure. I just copied that info from their website.

Robert,

You should be good. You have 4 Gig and all that is required is 512 MB (0.5 gig)

People often confuse operating memory with storage memory.

I'm using the 2013 UltraPak. 4GB works fine for me if I don't use too many VST plugins. If I use Amplitube and some other VST plugins and it stutters and locks up. I had to go to an 8 GB system and my problems ended. My advice is to get the fastest processor you can afford and no less than 8 GB.
Good luck to you.
