When the Autotune is turned off

Post by Peggy Green »

I am watching http://www.ustream.tv/channel/sxsw-music

Each act is having problems with the sound.

One act reminded me of escappees for spring break from the marching band.

Another act was playing and the lead voice was so bad with sour notes I felt embarassed for the singer and turned the audio off.

Then the singer seemed to beam smiling. I turned the audio up. Nearly perfect notes now coming from the singer. The soundman must have gotten the Autotune into the mix.....

Ah yes...autotune...the vocal equivalent of a padded bra or sockies in your jockeys. :\
