Man, that's tempting... the humpbacks are there during spring... best time to go to Maui IMO.

I've been there for the last 3 festivals, which featured Henry Allen. The upcoming festival will be different, run by Alan Akaka. April is indeed beautiful on Maui (and elsewhere in the Islands). I am a friend and student of Alan's, and I'll be helping him run the festival, in addition to jamming and playing as much as I can. The KBH is a great place to stay, "the most Hawaiian hotel on Maui". The jam sessions include the artists, so there's a lot to learn while jamming. Please come. - Jack
