Here's a rare excerpt of John's great playing that was shot during the making of his Rhythm Tune Up DVD. John taught mandolin and guitar at Berklee and his sudden death last Spring was a blow to Boston's Jazz and roots music community. He was a world class player across a range of styles. He was a frequent contributor to the SGF for a many years.

Hey, Andy, I don't know what's causing it but the sound and video seemed to be out of synch when I watched this.

Yeah, looks a few frames off. Who knows how these encoding errors happen? It's a common video/web issue.
