Ray Price

Post by Roger Edgington »

Had a great time in Kerrville, Texas lst night. Our band )Billy Mata & the Texas Tradition) opened for Ray Price and it was his 1st Christmas Show. He billed it as "My Christmas Gift To You". He had some of the strings from the Kerrville symphony, his band including Bobby Flores on fiddle/violin. We had a pretty good response from the crowd and Ray did his usual wonderful job. Ray is 87 now and sang just beautifully. It was quite an honor.

Congratulations, Roger! Ray is still one of the best singers out there, and BM&TT is one of the best bands.

Roger my man, didja say hey to my ol' pal Mike Cass?
My rig: Infinity and Telonics.

Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg?

Good for you Roger! That had to be a great feeling being on the same show with Ray! I've been a "long-time" fan of his. Ray's mother was my second grade school teacher down in DEEP East Texas, and I got to meet him (first time) when I was 8 years old and he came by the school one day. Right after Crazy Arms came out for him.
