Truetones or Emmons single coil pickups
I would like to know what kind of differences there would be in these pickups and what everyone's preference would be. I'm wanting to go single coil and want to know what everyone's opinion is between the two.

I've tried several Tru Tones wound from 17.5K to 19K and they sound good. But only one set didn't have a noticeable hum. Jerry does make a really good pickup and a super nice guy so please don't take this as a negative comment about Tru Tones. Just my preference in tone
I only use Emmons single coils on my steels wound to 19.5K and I'm totally hooked! They have the perfect balance in tone. Crisp clear highs, smooth lows, and perfect mids with no noticeable hum. I have them installed on a GFI, MSA, and of course Emmons push pull...I even keep a couple extras just in case one would go out at which time it would go to Jerry Wallace to be rewound...
