Peavey Reno 400?

Post by Alan Rudd »

Is this considered a good amp for steel? I know it is for acoustic guitar as well. What is one of these worth? Thanks.

I tried one and there's too much horn and not much bottom end for my liking but a good acoustic amp.
I think I paid around $300 used.

Just Disconnect the horn and put electrical tape on the connectors. It sounds pretty good that way. I have one and that's what I did. According to Ken Fox, it's the same circuit as a nv400. Do a forum search for Reno 400....

I did this too.
The two speaker wires coming out of the amp are just long enough to go directly to the speaker connectors (you might have to unwind them a bit).
