Well, it's actually a bit west of Stockholm, in the city of Köping. But it will still be a hoot! We are all very excited about getting Mickey to teach us a trick or two – or fortysix...

Here's a link to the invitation:

Mickey... I don't know if you know this or not, but I heard it is bad luck (actually the term used was DISASTER) for anyone giving a seminar to carry his own guitar. I think I should go and carry it for you.
Carter D10 8p/7k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup, Regal RD40 Dobro (D tuning), Recording King Professional Dobro (G tuning), NV400, NV112, Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open G slide and regular G tuning guitar) .

Playing for 55 years and still counting.

LMAO Richard!!! I just need to be more attracted the girl that carries my guitar!...Im sure you understand....
Heres a rundown of what I have planned for this event:
Day 1:
Mechanics, and adjustments
Electronic Tuning/vs Ear, Sweetened tuning origins, pitfalls...etc
Reconfiguring Your Guitar
Basic Maintenance Tips
Break:
Major/Minor Scales: In depth look at scales, modes and how they relate
Building the number system knowledge, in ANY key
Building a Chord
Altering a Chord
Progression Formulation
Right hand Excercises
Single Note Patterns
Ill be posting the plan for day 2 soon!

I want all of you that are attending to consider the fact that we all learn at different levels, and speeds. Ive attended seminars where a portion of the class would actually comprehend the syllabus while others felt left behind. I am going to make every attempt to structure this seminar as to maximize your benefit in several areas...not just one..I will be interacting with each of you on personal level as well in order to see that you take away as MUCH of my knowledge as I can possibly relay. I want to thank Sven and Anders for allowing me this wonderful opportunity to make new friends, and do what we all love to do best!!
See ya there!

Hi there, fellow pickers! I´m Sven, and I arranged the Sweden Pedal Steel Guitar Seminar 2012.
I would like to share with you some of my reflections from the seminar.
Mr. Mickey Adams... What a man... I had expectations, I really had, but I didn´t expect this! Mickey was, and is, the most professional instructor I´ve ever experienced, all categories. This man is a born natural! He conducted what I have come to call "The Mickey Adams Show" with the utmost precision and passion from the very first second until the very last, without any script (that anyone of us were aware of). Not even once did he slip, he had all of us fully focused and passionately interested all the time, for 12 full hours over two days!!! His slogan for this seminar was "Noone left behind" and he made certain noone was! That, my fellow pickers, that is absolutely amazing!! And he has not been teaching a live PSG seminar ever before! I figure his passion for the instrument as well as passion for sharing his knowledge with others are the key factors to his total success over here. Mickey: We all had the best of times this weekend! We got tons of inspiration and instructions. Luckily for us, I video recorded every minute and will produce a DVD for all participants. With the massive amount of information we got, having access to a DVD is essential, and we all will be using that and we all will improve our playing severely. We already have, as a matter of fact...
So: Thank you Mickey Adams for coming over here! You are the best! Ít´s hard to find a more generous, professional, friendly, warm and helpful person and I´m honored being your friend.

The seminar was a total success! It was my first that I´ve ever arranged, and I have received so much positive response from the participants, so I´m more than determined to arrange another next year.
And Mickey: You are more than welcome here again!

Warmest regards

Sven O. Kontio

It was one of those memorable moments, something that I will never forget. On my way home, 2 hours with my car, my head lost just everything of what I experienced from the seminar. I couldn´t remember one single thing of what Mickey said and showed us. Two days after, things started appear in my head and my mind, one thing after another. Now, it´s all up to me, my hands, fingers and a thing called practice, practice and more practice.
Thanks a lot Mickey, for everything. It was a privilege meeting you and take part of our knowledge.
It really was a world class seminar, and I will attend it next year, be sure about that.
