T.P. Noble Guitars

Post by Bill McCloskey »

I was in central PA this weekend visiting some old bandmates I haven't played with in 30 years. While I was there I visited my cousin Tom Patton who runs a piano restoration company and also makes electric guitars under the name T. P. Noble guitars. After visiting and playing 20 of his guitars, I took this one home. It is without a doubt the most beautiful and most amazing sounding electric guitar I've ever owned. Man, does this thing pop. I played it for hours yesterday and it just kept getting better and better. And the price was incredibly reasonable ($1,600 and change).

If you find yourself around Milton Pa anytime, I urge you to go and check out cousin Tom's guitars. If you like that strat, or Tele sound, he has a guitar for you. Made here in the good old USA. http://www.tpnoble.com/

Here the specs for you guitar fanatics out there:

Top: Bookmatched Oregon (Claro) Walnut
Maple Trim
Back: Chambered Black Walnut with Cherry, Maple, and Walnut
Pickups: G&L
Electronics: Volume, Tone, 3-way Switch
Rosewood Fingerboard on Maple Neck

I played this fingerstyle, sans picks, ala Mark Knoffler last night. One of the most magical musical experiences of my life: the guitar played me.

This is the guitar I've been searching for my whole life.

Sorry to brag, but it is such a momentous occasion. I have had a lot of instruments in my life but this one is THE ONE.
