Don't see many comments about Pandora, here on Steel Guitar forum. It's a free music service that plays any type of music; just type in an artist's name and their music (and similar artists music) plays. My three favorite stations are Gene Watson, Marty Robbins and Hank Snow....original great steel playing.

I like Pandora too. Johnny Bush, Ray Price and a few of the "4/4 shuffle" artists are in my lineup.
Its great listening to what you want to hear instead of the 30 or so song playlists.

Yeah Ben, the Ray Price station is one of my favorites too; and the Hank Snow station plays a lot of Hank Williams, Carl Smith, Lefty Frizell, etc.; steel without pedals.

My extensive collection obliterates whatever the pandora's of the world provide, both in quantity and quality. And then there's youtube...

Great Sounding Speakers

Post by Mickey Lawson »

Pandora, playing through my Yamaha speakers and subwoofer, with Windows 7 premium edition, sounds better than anything I've ever heard....the sound is amazing. I think anyone who plays Pandora through quality speakers will be surprised at the sound of recordings that were made in the 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's.

Keith you're more than welcome to move South. It's a bit warmer here and if you come down illegally we might even buy you a new steel and give you free advanced instructions while paying you to study.
Oh well just a wild thought on my part.
Seriously there are a number of places online for great country/steel music. I go with Pandora because I'm somewhat computer illiterate and extremely lazy.
