Well, if that is the case, then read on, your worries are over. I copied the next section from the BIAB topic of Mr. Rick Campbell, and as many of you know, he was selling his DVD's on how to use BIAB. However, I (as many others have, I'm sure) had seen so many instructions on youtube, as well as elsewhere and the instructors went so fast, that by the time they'd be clicking on this and that, and not saying exactly what they'd clicked on, and the next thing a box would come up, etc, etc, etc., that most would simply say, "Wow! Too complicated" and gave up before ever getting started.
It wasn't until lately that I contacted Rick to see about getting a copy of his DVD. Just to see if I could possibly learn how to use it. Well, the name of the DVD couldn't have been any better. "Band in the box Made Easy".
Below is a post from Rick, in the BIAB section of the forum:
Rick sent me out a copy, and I want to say, it's not just a another DVD, Rick is a great instructor, and gives you exactly what you need to get you up and running. And, he tells you ONLY what you NEED to know to have your copy of BIAB up and working, for making tracks to practice with, or to record with, etc.The BIAB Made Easy DVD is no longer for sale. All I wanted to do was recover the expenses of producing it, and thanks to many of you, I was able to do this. I have decided to discontinue selling it and concentrate on other things.
The good news is that I have decided to make it public domain. Those of you that want the DVD, just ask someone to copy it for you. Whatever you work out with them for postage, etc... is between you and them, but please don't charge them for the DVD itself. If I can give it away, so can you.
This is my Christmas present to all of you guys. All I ask is if you like the DVD and it helps you with BIAB, please post some positive comments here for others to see.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to each of you and your loved ones.
The thing I really like about Rick's instruction, is that he does it in a very logical Step by Step, approach from beginning to end. From loading it on, and setting it up with only enough of what you DO Need to know, without weeding through all of the (too numerous to mention) other things that BIAB can and will do, that you DON'T need to know, in order to make backing tracks.
And, I might also add, that Rick is a great instructor, and just maybe he could be talked into doing more instruction work on BIAB?????? Maybe not, but you can be sure, it would be top of the line.
So do yourselves a favor, and if you don't have a copy of his DVD, and you're not able to use your copy of BIAB, then by all means, get it any way you can, because it WILL get you up and running your copy of BIAB.
Asking B0b if you'll be so kind as to leave this posted here for others coming along who would like to be using their BIAB too.
Rick, Thanks again, a whole bunch, for the excellent DVD.
Wishing everyone here a great New Year.........
