I have been sharing this with some other boards I am on, take a listen tell me what you think, the first one is the only cover on the record, its still unmixed and missing fiddle and the third harmony on the second tune.

Gee I figured someone would take a listen just to hear JayDee.

Did I put this in the wrong place?
[This message was edited by Jesse Harris on 28 January 2005 at 04:11 PM.]

Hey Jesse!
Tracks sound really good, I especially liked Rock Bottom, funny lyrics, and Jay Dee sounds great, no surprise there, eh?
You and the band playing anywhere soon?

This is going to be a great CD from a band
that plays that late 60's, early 70's country
rock style, and 'gets it'! If you're wonderin'
where all the new young players are, well these guys are all in there 20's. Mike Witcher is only 23 and is one of the best dobro players in the country. I think Jay Dee
is 39?

Hey Jesse---my dial-up service makes these download painful. But I listened to 'Tonight" and it sounds great. I love new takes on classic songs--especially when they are songs from iconic masters. Takes cojones to rework something like that. And that's the way it should be! I'll start downloading the others now. Something to listen to come supper time.
Thanks for the clips.

Really nice to hear the band up front and the voice in the background for once, I think you may have hit on something here. Image Image Image

Terrific stuff! Wish we had a band like that around here to go listen to. Does JayDee play with you on stage much?

No, he's pretty busy, I havent tried that much to get him out, But we usually use 2 other fine steel players, Gary Brandin and Chris Lawrence. Also Mike Witcher often joins us on his hybrid dobro/lap steel

Jesse, just the tonic that I needed after the tragedy yesterday. Love the groove, the singing and Jay Dee, not necessarily in that order. (what the hey, I'm a steel player)

I'd love to have a table close to the band and watch Jay Dee.......it's been a long time since I was there; too long. I have some fond memories of Calif.

Sounds great, Jesse!

Folks if you're ever in L.A. and have the chance to see these guys, GO SEE THEM. They are fantastic live and always feature fine steel and Tele playing.
