PBS-T.V. Buddy Holly Tribute

Post by Kenneth Kotsay »

Last night PBS TV had a tribute to Buddy Holly, with some real great old time rockers in appearance. Paul Anaka, Raul Malo, Gram Nash, Chris Isaek, Don Everly and the list goes on.

BUT...............Who was the pedal steel player, he was playing a S-10 Zum.

I posted about this in the Steel Players section. It is, indeed, Earnest Bovine a/k/a Doug Livingston. He's listed in the musician credits at the end. I believe it's actually an S-12 Zum. Really fine playing.

I think Paul Anka said his name but I couldn't hear what he said. Just watched the show, I liked it.
