hank thompson at the golden nugget :live album

Post by Jack Harper »

this msy be old news, but i just found it on youtube complete side-A:side-B
but no list of credits or players
who were the brazo's valley boy's on this record?
there are times when it sounds like 2 steels.....
coukd it be peewee & bob?
sounds like 3 fiddles and a muted horn.
what a bass player that deives the show.
he mentions billy grey and merle travis, so they must be there. i know billy was a brazo's boy.
i missed that era ...i love this album!
any inputs on this
thanxxx

Thompson Band

Hank introduces the band at the end, they are Merle Travis, Billy Gray, Dubert Dobson (trumpet) Bob White and Curley Lewis (fiddles) Junior Nichols (drums) Billy Stewart (bass) Bobby Garrett (steel)
As you say, it's a great album. I got to see them at the Golden Nuggett several times.

I loved that album as well, especially that wild ride BG took on Nine Pound Hammer. :whoa:
