fileden

Post by Mickey Lawson »

I have used fileden for years...I was told about it by someone on steel guitar forum, years ago. I uploaded the song from my mp3...I have never had any, or heard of any problems with fileden...my Norton Symantec says the site is safe.

She was smok'n hot on Leno ther other night with Rusty on steel. Mega talent singer. If she could only decide what she wants to be.

Sure does Theresa. Probably the biggest bumbled career choice I have ever seen in my life. She could have been The Patsy Cline of her time. Instead she wanted to compete (which she couldn't)with Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey being a pop singer. BIGGGG mistake. Then she thought she wanted to be an actress. It's way too late for her to go back and try and capture her country market which she held in the palm of her hand at one time, but apparently it wasn't good enough for her. She put out all of that mediocre pop crap that no one cared about while she was losing her country audience. Music is a business, and if you don't cultivate and focus on your target market you soon become yesterday's news. As I said, a mega talent singer, but without focused direction. Marty Stuart is a master at concentrating and focusing on his target market. He's destined for legendary status in the country music industry.

Acting in a movie (badly), attempting the pop crossover thing and a few marriages are just par for the course nowadays. She hasn't been forced to do anything, as a matter of fact she seemed motivated to discontinue the "Patsy Cline Soundalike" label as soon as she could. I don't pay real close attention to these things, but I don't think she got nearly as far caught up in the "I am Strong Woman! Fear Me!"-type songs that Martina McBride and Shania Twain caught from Cher. She is Hollywood-skinny though, it looks kinda painful & boney on her somehow.

According to "Celebrity Net Worth", Rimes has a current estimated net worth of just under $38 million as of 2011, and is one of the richest female country singers in America.
She'll get by.

Yeah, she's doing OK !!!!!!!

I can see her not wanting to be another sound alike. She has put out alot of pop country with really great tracks. Can't blame her for that! :)

I like Marty Stuart, but not sure I agree.

I like both Ms. Rimes and Ms. Lynn very much. The rub comes in getting a lot of other people to feel the same way. At this point in time, and the "biz" being relentlessly youth-biased as it is, it might not happen. Neither is getting any younger…. :\

Thomas Katt?

Chris (Ivey) I knew most all the SJ players including Pete, even though my (SJ) tour of duty was from '73 - '90.
