Fender Squier Classic Vibe Tele With Bigsby

Post by Greg Cutshaw »

Just finished putting a Bigsby on one of my Classic Vibe telecasters. About a 6 hour job figuring in all the intonation adjustments. Pic below and more pics and a song sound file on my web page linked below.

I bought one for my '62 Tele custom reissue last year but chickened out on installing it and sold it.

Andy, I can understand that. I don't mind having this on a backup guitar but wouldn't dream of doing it to my main axe. I bought and sold two HipShots losing interest in each one before finally buying a 3rd one and getting psyched up enough to install it.

For all the Tele players who aren't quite ready to start drilling (I'm one),there are a couple of outfits making Bigsby mount kits that fit in existing screw holes, and there are no permanent modifications to your guitar,so it's all completely reversible. One company is ZZ Guitarworks, the other is Vibramate. Here are a few pics of my Classic '50s MIM Esquire with an early ZZ kit.
